How to Request/Purchase GMS-T Exam Retake

GMS-T Exam Retake Information

If you do not pass the GMS-T certification exam second attempt, you have the option to purchase additional exam attempts:

• One additional attempt: $125 USD
• Two additional attempts: $225 USD

To purchase additional attempts, contact the WERC team. An order/invoice will be generated and made available in your member account. Once payment has been received, the additional exam attempt(s) will be activated.

Note: If you purchase two additional attempts and pass on your third attempt, the unused fourth attempt is non-refundable.

Exam Performance Report

While WERC cannot provide the actual exam questions or answers, you may request a PDF of your exam performance from your first two attempts. This report is designed to help you identify areas for improvement before retaking the exam.

The report includes:

• SCORE – Indicates whether your answer was correct (1.0) or incorrect (0.0).
• NAME – Identifies the topic associated with each question.

Please note that exam questions are randomized for each attempt, so the order of questions will vary.

Preparing for Your Retake

To make the most of your next attempt, we recommend reviewing your exam performance report to identify the topics where you answered the most questions incorrectly.

For additional guidance, WERC can also provide:

• Your course completion report
• A course-to-module reference guide showing where each topic is located within the GMS-T program

For example:

• GMST_TOC corresponds to Theory of Culture (Module 1)
• GMST_Data corresponds to Exploring Data Analytics (Module 5)

Using these resources, you can revisit the relevant courses and module quizzes to strengthen your understanding before retaking the exam.
